You may have noticed that I have been a little quiet recently, I thought I should check in and let you know all is not lost! I'll be back in a week with some more reviews and recipes. I have family coming to stay in a couple of days so it's been a mad rush to stock up on bedding, dinnerware and food. Sadly, cooking has fallen to the back burner as of late. When we moved to rainy old Melbourne from Perth we started anew and didn't see much point in buying more than the bare essentials, especially considering our new, teeny-tiny house has no storage. That decision is biting me on the butt right now though!
Apart from sharing some happy family snaps when I return, I'll also be posting an awesome recipe for 'fried gnocchi with lemon, basil and chilli'. Of course there'll be a dessert recipe (which will remain a secret for now) and I'll be reviewing The Farm Cafe in Collingwood.
In the meantime, I'd love to hear from you! What kind of recipes would you like to see more of? Do you have a great recipe to share that I simply must try out?
Ugh, moving! First visit to your blog and I just have to give you props for surviving the move. The Mr. and I bought a house last fall and it's bigger than our apartment but still doesn't have much storage... you never know how much STUFF you have until you have NOWHERE to put it... awful! I've considered digging a hole in the backyard. :P
ReplyDeleteRecipes... I'm big on baking desserts and the like... pies, cakes etc. If you're into sweet things, I would try the recipe for Neiman Marcus Brownies. They're basically blondies but they use yellow cake mix for a base. You roll over into a coma after eating one. I'll post it up somewhere soon or you can look it up on Pinterest.
Since summer is coming up on this side of the pond... maybe summer fruit pies? Peach and apple and the like? I'm horrible at geography but I'm pretty sure the weather's cooling down where you are?
It's like a magicians hat isn't it?! The stuff just keeps on coming. We're moving again next month and I'm starting to realise I have a true knack for accumulating stuff at a rapid rate.
DeleteI haven't tried that brownie recipe yet, I'm always keen to test out a brownie recipe though!
Your geography is spot on, definitely time for some warm desserts to fight the cold. :)
